U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service hosts this annual event each year, Dragonfly Day. This year's event will be at Tanana Lakes Rec Area from 11am to 4 pm.
They are seeking volunteers to help with activity stations geared for youth ages baby to 12 years old. There are two time blocks available: 10:30am to 1:30pm or 1:30 to 4:30pm or the option of the entire day. No prior knowledge of dragonflies is needed but it's a great opportunity to learn! There will be nature walks and a variety of educational and craft activities. In 2018 approximately 300 people attended the event. Please contact Alyssa Morris at 456-0224 or allyssa_morris@fws.gov if you're interested in getting involved.
