Alaska’s climate is warming at 2-3 times the rate of the lower 48. Alaska's large size and mostly intact ecosystems may not provide resilience to climate-driven ecological transformation. Agency and Tribal land managers have the opportunity to advance adaptation by more actively addressing climate-driven impacts.
We believe there is a need for diverse, creative thinking about on-the-ground climate adaptation in Alaska. This free and virtual 3-day workshop will stimulate discussion among key players in Alaska and their transboundary partners on new methods of resisting, accepting, or directing climate change in the state.
This workshop will virtually take place February 23rd- 25th, 2022 from 8am-12pm daily. Pre-registration can be found here.
