Join us - Wildlife Research Expedition in Prince William Sound!

In partnership with the Alaska Endeavour, we are offering wildlife lovers an opportunity to join our marine wildlife research expedition in Alaska's famous Prince William Sound!

Overview of the Expeditions

  • Dates: September 19th - 27th

  • Route: Start in Cordova, AK end in Whittier, AK

  • Expedition includes viewing of tidewater glaciers, as well as opportunities to kayak, hike, beach comb, and fish.

  • More than 220 species of birds, 30 species of land mammals, and at least a dozen marine mammal species are found in the region. An estimated 200,000 seabirds summer in the sound, including marbled murrelets, black-legged kittiwakes, and glaucous-winged gulls. We also hope to see black bears, brown bears, moose, and mountain goats. Resident marine mammals include humpback, sei, fin, minke, and killer whales as well as porpoises, Steller sea lions, harbor seals, and sea otters.

  • Onboard research includes bird counts, whale viewing, fossil hunting, marine debris surveys and more.

  • Max number of attendees: 6

  • Cost: $4,500 per person, includes six days and five nights aboard the Endeavour and all food, guiding and on-board logistics. You can book the full boat if you'd like, or secure one spot on the boat with a group of new friends!

    In addition to the Endeavour crew, you will be joined on these expeditions by an AWA representative.
